102-year-old WWII Triple Ace pilot and Brigadier General Bud Anderson passes away.

102-year-old Brigadier General Bud Anderson, the last living Triple Ace pilot from World War II, has passed away. Born in Oakland, California, Anderson had 16 confirmed aerial kills over Europe during the war, and flew over 130 aircraft types in his 30-year military career, achieving 7,500 hours of flight. He was promoted to the honorary rank of brigadier general by the Air Force chief of staff in 2022.
