A Central Texas neighborhood has faced 24 attacks by red-shouldered hawks, protecting their nest and hatchlings, over the past three months. The City of Keller has contacted the Department of Agriculture for help, as the hawks, a federally protected species, cannot be harmed. Biologists will use non-lethal methods to remove the chicks and nest, and haze the birds away from the area.
