President Bola Tinubu establishes a Presidential Committee on Climate Action and Green Economic Solutions to coordinate and oversee all policies and programmes on climate action and green economic development. The 25-member committee, chaired by Tinubu himself, aims to remove constraints to coordination, foster a whole-of-government approach to climate action programmes, and provide an efficient governance architecture. Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, is appointed as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and will serve as the committee's secretary.
