Ottawa and Gatineau rescue teams saved a missing kayaker from Deschênes Rapids on the Ottawa River.

Ottawa firefighters, along with Gatineau's water rescue teams, successfully rescued a missing kayaker from the fast-flowing Deschênes Rapids on the Ottawa River near Britannia Bay on Saturday evening. The rescue operation was launched after a 911 call reported two kayakers entering the rapids, with only one emerging. The missing kayaker was eventually spotted with binoculars and brought safely to shore.
