Indian PM Narendra Modi announced that India is now the second-largest mobile phone manufacturer globally, with one out of seven iPhones made there. Apple has doubled its iPhone production in India, and by 2028, 25% of all iPhones are expected to be manufactured there. This growth is partly due to India's production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme and reduces Apple's dependence on China.
