The Indian government has recovered ₹852 crore under the amnesty scheme for exporters, which aims to help settle outstanding export obligations. The scheme, which has received 6,705 applications, had a deadline of March 31 for payment of customs duty plus interest. Small exporters have requested the government to extend the scheme till September, as some have been unable to benefit from it.
