Edo Queens opened their NWFL Super Six campaign with a 5-1 victory over Confluence Queens in the tournament's first match in Yenagoa. Emem Essien and Goodness Osigwe scored two goals each, while Chioma Moses added one. Despite Confluence Queens' Merit Offor equalizing in the 21st minute, Edo Queens took control, with Osigwe scoring in the 24th and 60th minutes and Essien netting again in the 39th.
