12,539 candidates participated in the May diet of the Teachers' Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) conducted by Nigeria's Teachers Registration Council (TRCN) across the country. The TRCN warned against recruiting unqualified teachers without its certification and licensing. The exam was introduced in 2017 and has become a requirement for practicing teachers.
