33-year-old Portsmouth Brewery, NH's first craft brewery, permanently closes due to flood damage and subsequent reopening costs.
Portsmouth Brewery, NH's first craft brewery, permanently closes after 33 years due to significant flood damage. Owners Peter Egelston and Joanne Francis opt not to reopen, instead choosing to sell the building, which also requires substantial repair costs to meet city code. If the building is not sold, its assets, including furnishings and equipment, will be sold separately.
