Thomasville woman, Misty Leann Covington, 44, charged with felony hit-and-run after a fatal crash on May 12 that resulted in the death of 52-year-old Winston-Salem woman Janice Batten. Covington allegedly struck Batten with her vehicle while she was walking on Liberty Drive, then continued driving without notifying authorities. Covington turned herself in to the Thomasville Police Department on Thursday.
