44-year-old Karen Vamplew has been found guilty of murdering her disabled mother-in-law, Elizabeth Vamplew, 77, in Newark, Nottinghamshire, by setting her bed on fire in a bid to get inheritance money.
The victim, who was known as Anne, died from burns and smoke inhalation after a fire at her bungalow on 15 December 2021.
Vamplew had considerable debts and was found guilty following a trial at Leicester Crown Court.
