Pender County School bus driver, Austin Lee Kelly, 32, was arrested on May 15 for two counts of misdemeanor sexual battery. Kelly, a former Heide Trask High School bus driver, was dismissed from his job on May 9. The charges stemmed from an investigation by school staff members who reported criminal offenses to the high school resource officer. Two students were identified as victims.
