5th Chinese singing contest "Rose Melodies" held in Bulgaria to promote Chinese culture and language, featuring 9 solo performers and groups. The event, part of the UN Chinese Language Day, was organized by Sofia's Confucius Institute and marked the 75th anniversary of China-Bulgaria diplomatic relations. Leda Kyulhanova, a 16-year-old student, won the contest after studying Chinese for 3 years.
