The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired left-handed pitcher Richard Lovelady from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for fellow left-handed pitcher Jeff Belge. Lovelady, 28, has a 7.94 ERA in seven appearances this season with the Cubs and a 5.48 ERA in 80 career relief appearances. The Rays transferred right-hander Jacob Waguespack to the 60-day injured list to create room on their 40-man roster for Lovelady.
