A retired Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jammu and Kashmir, Sheikh Mohammad Aslam, was arrested under the Official Secrets Act (OSA) for publishing sensitive information and FIRs in a book. Aslam, who served as an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police in 1986 and later received out-of-turn promotions to reach the rank of SP, currently resides in the Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu city.
