The cost of Queensland's Loganholme to Gold Coast "second M1" project has increased by $864 million to $3.02 billion. The federal and Queensland governments will each contribute $432 million to the infrastructure project, which is one of the state's busiest roads, carrying over 210,000 vehicles daily. The Coomera Connector, or second M1, is expected to transfer 60,000 vehicles daily from the original M1.
