Marshall University's cybersecurity institute construction began, with the $45M, 90,000 sq ft facility being a National Center of Excellence for Cyber Security in Critical Infrastructure. The second of its kind in the US, it aims to create a strong cybersecurity workforce, attract students nationwide, and be completed by fall 2026. The institute will collaborate with local & state governments, universities, and the military for training & mentoring in cybersecurity trends, protecting infrastructure, and fostering education.
