50-year-old Benjamin Hollins, a convicted sex offender from California, was arrested in Arizona for allegedly faking his death to avoid registering as a sex offender in a different state. Hollins moved to Arizona in 2018 but failed to register as required. He was later caught after attempting to fake his own death in 2023 and was discovered living under a false identity by the Chandler Police Department.
