Wales updates on-farm slaughter policy for bovine TB reactor cows. Farmers can now delay slaughter of heavily pregnant or recently calved reactor animals, and consider delaying removal if close to drug withdrawal period, subject to biosecurity conditions. These changes are based on recommendations from the Bovine TB Technical Advisory Group. The Welsh government, NFU Cymru, and FUW are forming a working group to assess the impact of on-farm slaughter.
