Supreme Court directs Maharashtra Govt to expedite land release for new Bombay High Court building by Sept 2024.
The Supreme Court has directed the Maharashtra Government to expedite the process of releasing the first tranche of land for the construction of a new Bombay High Court building. The Government does not need to wait until December 2024 to allot the 9.64 acres, with the apex court urging the state to make all efforts to hand over the land by the end of September 2024. Smaller areas can be handed over as they become available.
