The Satanic Temple, a nontheistic group, is advocating for equal representation in public schools as conservative lawmakers in Florida and Texas allow religious chaplains. The Temple, founded in 2013, is using the debate to highlight the growing encroachment of religion in public life. They would prefer no chaplains in schools, but if such bills pass, they intend to have Satanic ministers as chaplains as well.
