The Pretoria High Court has refused the Minister of Electricity, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Eskom, and the Government's application for leave to appeal against the Loadshedding Judgment. This means that public schools, hospitals, and South African Police Services must remain exempt from loadshedding. The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria previously found that load shedding violates constitutional rights.
