Oyo State Government in Nigeria plans to recruit 7,000 teachers for public primary schools and 100 caregivers for special needs, as announced by the Executive Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran. The recruitment, which aims to bridge the manpower gap, will be transparent, merit-based, and follows Governor Seyi Makinde's electoral promise. The state aims to address around 70% of the existing manpower shortage in the education system.
