Nouméa Airport in New Caledonia remains closed until Tuesday due to civil unrest and unsafe conditions. Over 200 New Zealanders are registered in the country, and the government is working to help them leave using either the Royal New Zealand Air Force or commercial airlines. Air New Zealand has cancelled its services on May 18 and 20 and will resume operations when the airport is safe and secure.
