A new respite centre, Nanga Mai, officially opened in Dapto, providing short-term accommodation for children with disabilities aged 5-18. The first of its kind in the region, it includes multiple bedrooms, accessible bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge, gaming area, outdoors courtyard, and a sensory room. The centre welcomes children for as little as two hours to weeks, offering respite for parents and carers.
