IMF reaches staff-level agreement with Tanzania on climate resilience reforms, backed by $790m financing.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reached a staff-level agreement with Tanzania on reforms to enhance resilience against climate change, backed by $790m in financing from the Resilience and Sustainability Facility. The IMF also agreed a third review of Tanzania's Extended Credit Facility arrangement, which could unlock a further $150m in funding. The financing is subject to approval by the IMF's executive board, which is expected to meet in the coming weeks.
