Governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, raises rebuilding cost estimate for flood damages.

Governor of Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state, Eduardo Leite, has revealed that the cost of rebuilding the state after recent floods will surpass the initial 19 billion reais ($3.72 billion) estimate. The floods, which resulted in 154 deaths and displaced over 540,000 people, will also cause an estimated 14 billion reais revenue loss. The revised cost will be determined by ongoing assessments.
