Former Facebook and Nike diversity manager, Barbara Furlow-Smiles, has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison for orchestrating a fraud scheme where she stole around $5 million from both companies. She admitted to utilizing fake invoices, fraudulent vendors, and cash kickbacks to carry out the fraudulent activities. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia ordered her to pay restitution to Meta-owned Facebook ($4,981,783.58) and Nike ($121,054.50).
