Fire extinguished at NNPC terminal in Apapa, Lagos; no casualties; cause under investigation.
A fire broke out at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company's (NNPC) new terminal in Apapa, Lagos on Friday afternoon due to a spillage of petroleum products within the tank farm's perimeter. The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, led by Director/Chief Executive Officer Margaret Adeseye, attended to the fire, and it was extinguished by 13:10 hours on Friday with no reported casualties. The fire's cause is under investigation.
