Three Dublin-based gardaí have been sent forward for trial, accused of perverting the course of justice and burglary. One officer faces an additional charge of falsely imprisoning a woman, following an investigation by the Garda Anti-Corruption Unit in 2021. Garda Sgt Ciaran Whelan (51), Robert Gorman (43), and Garda Mark Duffy (39) are charged with burglary, perverting the course of public justice, and other offenses that allegedly occurred in 2021.
