Chennai faces power cuts on May 17 in Pattabiram, Thandurai, and Sekkadu regions due to maintenance work by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company (TANGEDCO). The power cut will be from 9 am to 12 pm, with work including erecting a new power transformer and replacing the AB switch at Pattabiram substation. Two power transformers caught fire recently, causing previous outages.
