Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda stated that the central bank has no immediate plan to sell its large holdings of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This comes amid growing debate about how the BOJ should best manage its balance sheet, which was inflated by its efforts to combat deflation through heavy money printing. Ueda also mentioned that the bank is still deciding whether to sell the ETFs in the future.
