30-year-old Sioux City man, Wesley Moniz, was arrested on May 14 for multiple assault charges, including assault while participating in a felony, after allegedly attacking a man with a machete and threatening several others. Moniz approached three people with a machete at 5:30 p.m., then at 6 p.m., he threatened a woman and struck a man in the hip and head with the weapon, causing a 4-inch cut that required staples.
