90-year-old Italian sprinter, Emma Maria Mazzenga, broke the world record in the 200 meters for women aged 90 and over, setting a time of 51.47 seconds. Mazzenga, who began her running career at age 53, has found her sport to be an important comfort in her later years and plans to compete in the Italian championships in June and the world championships in Sweden next year.
