West African Examinations Council (WAEC) plans to offer Computer-Based Tests (CBT) alongside Paper-Based Tests (PBT) for WASSCE candidates from November 2024.
West African Examinations Council (WAEC) announced that starting in November 2024, WASSCE candidates will have the option of taking Computer-Based Tests (CBT) or Paper-Based Tests (PBT). The decision follows the successful implementation of the first CBT edition in January-February, which reported improved performance and a significant decrease in malpractices. WAEC aims to expand computer-based examinations to rural areas and align with global technological trends, providing necessary facilities and training for schools to facilitate the transition.
