57% of Black women ages 15-49 in the US live in states with abortion bans or restrictions, according to a joint report by the National Partnership for Women & Families and In Our Own Voice. The number of states that ban or restrict abortion care has increased since the 2022 Supreme Court case overturning Roe v. Wade. The study found that 2.7 million Black women living in states with limited abortion access are already "economically insecure."
