The US Air Force selects six bases to host experimental Air Task Forces, training 50 airmen each for 2025 deployments.

The US Air Force has identified six locations to host experimental Air Task Forces (ATFs) that will test new methods for generating more efficient, integrated deployable Units of Action. The new approach aims to better prepare airmen for combat, with 50 airmen each assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ; Scott AFB, IL; Joint Base San Antonio, TX; Dyess AFB, TX; Fairchild AFB, WA; and Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. Task forces will train together before deploying overseas in 2025, with the first three deploying in October 2025 to the Middle East and Pacific.
