Japan's SoftBank Corp plans to test AI-enabled software that softens customers' angry voices, aiming to reduce stress on call centre workers. The technology, to be tested internally and externally over the next year, will convert customers' voices into a calm conversational tone, improving both customer relations and worker wellbeing. SoftBank aims to commercialize the technology by March 2026.
