Prickly Pear Land Trust partners with Fort Harrison to conserve Birdseye Ranch, seeking to acquire 1,500 acres with support from the county, ACUB Program, and Montana Fish & Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Prickly Pear Land Trust (PPLT) is partnering with Fort Harrison to conserve Birdseye Ranch, seeking to acquire nearly 1,500 acres. The Lewis and Clark County Commission opened a 30-day comment period to allow PPLT to use $1 million from the county's open space bond, with the Department of Defense's ACUB (Army Compatible Use Buffer) Program and Montana Fish & Wildlife Conservation Trust contributing as well. If approved, this project would preserve the land adjacent to Fort Harrison.
