Nigerian House of Representatives directs Commerce Committee to investigate rising commodity prices and considers reactivating Price Control Board.
The Nigerian House of Representatives has directed its Committee on Commerce to investigate the daily increase in prices of commodities, following a motion by Rep. Jesess Onuakalusi. Onuakalusi called for the reactivation of the Price Control Board of Nigeria to regulate commodity prices and prevent marketers from increasing prices with impunity. The committee has four weeks to report back for further legislative action.
