Thousands of people in Mizoram, India protested against the Indian government's decision to fence the India-Myanmar border and withdraw the free movement regime with Myanmar. Organized by the Zo Re-Unification Organisation (Zoro), the peaceful rallies took place in Zokhawthar and Vaphai villages, with participation from Myanmar residents as well. The protesters demanded that the Centre review its decision, claiming it would disturb close contact between ethnic communities of the two countries.
