India's unemployment rate in urban areas dropped to 6.7% in January-March 2024, down from 6.8% in the same period last year, according to the National Sample Survey. The female unemployment rate decreased to 8.5% from 9.2% in the same quarter a year ago. The data also showed an increase in the Labour Force Participation Rate and Worker Population Ratio, indicating an improving job market.
