Holcim begins building €500m+ net-zero cement plant in Belgium, partnering with Air Liquide, by 2029.
Holcim has started construction on a €500m+ GO4ZERO plant in Belgium, expected to produce 2Mta of net-zero cement by 2029. The facility, partnering with Air Liquide, aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 30% by 2027, using waste from other industries and Europe's largest installation of floating solar panels. The project is supported by the EU's Innovation Fund, financed by the Emissions Trading System.
