Former Qingdao municipal political advisor, Ji Binchang, is on trial in Wuxi for accepting over 526M yuan ($74M) in bribes. Ji, who held positions including provincial vice-governor, allegedly used his roles to assist in business ops, project contracting, and personnel recruitment in exchange for bribes. Ji pleaded guilty and expressed remorse during the trial; the court will announce his sentence in due course.
