EnBW has initiated the construction of Germany's largest offshore wind farm, He Dreiht, located in the North Sea. The 960 MW project, 85 km northwest of Borkum and 110 km west of Helgoland, involves over 60 ships and 500 employees. The world's largest floating crane, Heerema Marine Contractors' Thialf, will install the first foundations with monopiles and transition pieces, which had been loaded in Eemshaven, Netherlands. Construction work is expected to continue into the summer.
