In Clondalkin, Dublin, Gardaí arrested a man and a woman in their 30s following the discovery of a submachine gun, silencer, and ammunition during a search operation led by the Dublin Crime Response Team. The operation was a result of a targeted intelligence-led investigation. Both suspects are currently being held at separate garda stations in the capital for questioning, which can last up to three days.
