Britain's "kindest plumber" James Anderson has been accused of faking stories of kindness to raise millions in donations for his social enterprise, Depher. The BBC reported that Anderson used photos of vulnerable people without their consent and fabricated stories about his work. Depher, which has received at least £2m in donations, attracted celebrity support, including actor Hugh Grant, who donated £75,000.
