BMA Chairman criticizes NHS whistleblower treatment, 800+ doctors raise patient safety concerns.

British Medical Association (BMA) Chairman Professor Phil Banfield criticised the treatment of whistleblowers in the National Health Service (NHS), stating they often face hostility and risk losing their careers. Over 800 doctors have expressed concerns about patient safety issues in the past year, but fewer than 6% felt their concerns were fully resolved. Health Secretary Victoria Atkins acknowledged the issue and urged all NHS staff to feel able to speak up without fear.
