61-year-old Joan Vassos, a Maryland school administrator, has been announced as the first lead for The Golden Bachelorette, a spin-off of the popular Bachelor franchise. Vassos, a mother of four and grandmother of two, previously appeared on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor. The Golden Bachelorette will air on Wednesday nights starting at 8 pm as part of ABC's fall schedule.
