78-year-old Salem man Arthur L. Massei has been convicted of first-degree murder in the 1971 killing of Bedford woman Natalie Scheublin. The victim's body was found in her basement by her husband, who was the president of the Lexington Trust Bank. Massei was arrested in 2022 and convicted by a Middlesex Superior Court jury on charges of first-degree murder and solicitation to suborn perjury in the trial of a capital indictment.
